I think grey is a fabulous colour. Yes, it has been the colour of poverty in past centuries – for example, a Grisette was a young, unmarried woman, who worked as a milliner or laundress and was clad in grey, cheap woolen fabric called Grisette, hence the name. Grey is also the colour of age. It’s the colour of dirt and dust, of humility, and being a „plain Jane“ means you are the epitome of insignificance. But there’s also the „grey eminence“, an influential person that stays in the background and pulls the strings secretly.
But enough with negative associations, despite all of the above I simply love grey and think it’s such a versatile, elegant and beautiful colour! Whether you combine it with other neutrals such as navy, camel or rosé, with bold ones like a lush red or green, or even with neon colours, grey always works. So it should be no surprise that my latest purchase is a fluffy oversized mohair jumper in – you guessed it – light grey. And frankly, I’m in love with it. The sleeves are extra long and super puffy, something you can always tempt me with. Also, it’s really warm, another plus on those cold and windy fall days. I got it at H&M Trend but unfortunately, as many of the Trend items, it immediately sold out. It’s still available in black, also this could be a nice alternative!
Sneakers: Adidas „Stan Smith“ (embossed version here or here). I just realised I should have either worn normal socks or no socks at all with the Stans because the ankle socks are slightly visible in the pics… too late 😉
Have a great start into the weekend loves!!
