Tomorrow it’s happening. H&Ms latest designer collaboration is going to hit the stores (and net, of course), and you can already head over to the H&M site to check out the pieces from the Balmain x H&M collection.
While a lot of the really beautiful pieces, like extravagantly embellished dresses and blouses or super elegant blazers, are not actually your everyday-wardrobe, I thought about how to style some of the more simple items from the collection combined with wardrobe basics probably everyone of us already has in their wardrobe. Besides the pieces in the collage, I especially love this bright red mini skirt and this uniform-maritime-style coat.
- With the black biker jacket made of cotton and the embellished black silk blouse (love this piece!), I would combine a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans (here: Levis 501 CT) and black leather lace-up boots.
- I hope I’ll be fast enough to snatch this pretty silk-blend scarf tomorrow. It would look great with a chunky knit (here: grey kimono-style dream piece by Edited the label) and this wide-legged silk-blend trousers from the Balmain x H&M collection. To complete the comfy look, add a pair of Adidas Superstar sneakers and you’re good to go!
- It’s quite flamboyant, but I would wear this faux fur jacket on an everyday basis and combine it with simple and classic pieces, like an oversized white blouse (here: beautiful flowy shirt by COS) and shiny silk pants, also from Balmain x H&M. Aren’t the pants just gorgeous? If you’re wearing this for a dinner date, you can also wear heels with it, but for during the day, I would opt for simple black monkstraps (here: black leather option from &Other Stories).
How do you like the Balmain x H&M collection? Are you going to try and get one or the other piece tomorrow? And which items are your favourites?
C u lovelies, xx Verena
