Last week, when I was at Laura’s place to pick up a cardigan she made for me (a very extraordinary piece, I can’t wait to show you!), I saw it and knew I wanted it. Caramel colored, made of wool, flowing and slightly oversized, with a hood. One of Laura’s „Robin“ jackets. I tried it on quickly and it fit, so I asked her if I could borrow it to shoot an outfit with it – and to see if Robin and I were matching, you know 😉
It wasn’t too easy for me to combine the jacket, or at least it felt like it, simply because when it comes to clothes, I never ever wear brown. My mum once gave me a brown duffle coat – never worn it. I bought a pair of quite expensive dark brown leather boots a couple of years ago – the times they’ve graced my feet can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Luckily, I have one single brown bag that matched the coat perfectly, and while I was tempted to opt for an all-black outfit, I went with a chunky knit in grey and red hues and my beloved beige ankle boots. Black pleated pants and a small hat, and I was good to go! Sometimes you just gotta get out of your grey-blue-black comfort zone I guess.

Have a wonderful start into the weekend lovelies!! I’m going to have dinner with the girls tonight and there are no big plans for this weekend, so I’ll try to step my laundry game up a notch. Aaand I will be baking bread and sharing the recipe with you guys on Sunday! So for now, happy Fri-yay! xx Verena
