This the season to be jolly! The Christmas lights are shining bright, there are Advent markets all around the city where people meet to enjoy a cup of hot punch and some waffles, and we’re filing our homes with delicious smells of freshly baked cookies and fir needles from our Advent wreaths (and soon, our Christmas trees).
With Christmas eve coming closer and closer, there’s one big question I’m asking myself, and that is: what to wear?! While I bundle up when going outside and chunky knits and woolen coats are my main choices, I want to wear something pretty, but not too fancy on Christmas eve. Especially since this year, the Mister and I are hosting Christmas dinner for the very first time at our place! So as the hostess, I sure need something nice to welcome my family in. I found some options on Fashion ID and put together a little collage for you guys. What do you think?
- This black lace shirt by Twin Set looks both romantic and kinda cool, and would be the perfect match for the black flared pants by Tiger of Sweden. Also, these are both items you will be wearing often since they both can be combined in so many ways! Just imagine the delicate shirt with ripped boyfriend jeans or the pants with an oversized knit jumper…Love!
- This cocktail dress by Ralph Lauren is just so christmas-y to me! Black and red is the perfect colour combo for the occasion, and the flared skirt is so cute! And while I usually don’t wear shoes inside, I’d love to combine these black patent leather ballerinas by Pretty Ballerina with the dress (of course, before I’ve been wearing them outside).
- An overall is always a good alternative to a dress, and this shimmery one by Vila with transparent sleeves and deep neckline in the back is just the right mix of festive and laid-back. Plus, it’s the perfect party outfit! I would add the statement necklace by s.Oliver Premium for a final touch.
What will you guys be wearing on Christmas eve? And how do you like my picks? Let me know in the comments below!
