I’m back you guys!! Sorry for being absent for two whole weeks here on the blog, but the end of 2015 was a bit stress- and eventful (Christmas dinner at our house, family visits, a new family member…)
I know that about every blogger did a big 2015-recap to recall the highlights of the year, but I didn’t really feel like doing that, and the reason is quite simple. 2015 was an extremely difficult year for me to be honest. I needed the past week to think about a lot of things by myself and figure out what I want to do with my life in 2016. Last year, I quit my job that I thought would be exactly what I had always wanted to do and that turned out to be the exact opposite eventually. I thought I had found a new friend and had to realize I was more than wrong about that, which was very hurtful. I was looking for new opportunities but couldn’t fulfill my dream of writing for a magazine yet.
Of course, some good things have happened in 2015 as well. I got married in September and am super lucky to call my best friend my husband. (After all, shouldn’t your private happiness be worth more than your professional one?) We moved to a new, beautiful apartment which I love and feel totally at home at. I’ve finally been to Istanbul, a place I wanted to visit for a very long time, and it was amazing! And of course, I started this blog and have a lot of fun with it. I’m also quite happy how the first 9 months on the blog have turned out. I was even lucky enough to score a great cooperation with Trendsylvania, the online fanzine of shoe retailer Humanic, right at the beginning. I know I let the posts slide a little bit at the end of 2015, but I didn’t want to force myself to post something when I didn’t really feel like it. In 2016, I definitely want to post more frequently and regularly, though. And I want to thank all of you who have been reading the blog during this last year!!! According to WordPress, Wearestardust had 66.000 visits during the last 9 months, and I’m totally overwhelmed about that. I know, compared to some big Austrian bloggers that have 200.000 visits a month (let alone international ones), that’s nothing, but to me that’s the world ❤ So thank you lovelies, I hope you will still want to read my posts in 2016.
So what’s coming up in 2016? I’m starting to work as a stylist for an online retailer, I’ll let you know about that in the next couple of days (so exciting!). Probably I’ll be spamming the blog with some dog content, since the Mister and I got a puppy a week ago. We didn’t really plan on that, of course we’ve talked about wanting a dog before and maybe getting one in the course of 2016, but we actually got our puppy by coincidence (or maybe fate?). Anyways, Pixie moved in with us on December 26 and we already love her to bits. I’m working on an exciting project with my dad and hopefully will be able to tell you more about it soon. We didn’t go on our real honeymoon yet and are planning to go to South Africa in 2016. I’ve already been 6 times, my dad lives there and I simply LOVE South Africa. And I’m planning on going back to university and do an extra occupational bachelor’s degree, so fingers crossed that will work out! Oh, and of course I’m still hoping to work for a magazine or online publication, maybe I’ll be fortunate this year, who knows?
So let’s end this post (that somehow did turn out as a small 2015 recap after all) with some pics of Pixie and me on her first little walk. Funnily enough, I’m wearing the same hat (from Mühlbauer) and leather jacket (from Urbancode) that I’ve been wearing in my very first outfit post „Leave ya Hat On“ back in April 2015. Quite appropriate, don’t you think? 😉
C u soon guys, xx
